We had a great time shooting this Bat Mitzvah! We photographed older sister Rachel's Bat Mitzvah back in 2008. It's always nice to watch families grow through the years ;-)
We started the day bright and early, before the service, with some portraits at Temple Enanu-El in Oak Park

the evening party was also held at Emanu-El. Leah loves orange - so there was plenty of it incoporated into the details! flowers by Fleurtech
ice cream sandwiches!!!
Leah's big intro, with StarTrax MC Dennis
cute sister moment ;-)
and, the cutest giveaways - custom flip flops for everyone!
Congrats Leah and family!!

Our 2nd Chicago e-shoot from last week - Annie and Brian! Such an adorable couple ;-)
We started off at Millennium Park. If we lived in Chicago - I'd probably be so sick of shooting there. But once a year or so, it's really a great location!!
LOVE the Gehry bandshell....
the tulips were kickin'!
we shot this next series on and around the EL
and than finished up in their neighborhood of Old Town
Thanks guys! We had a great time exploring Chicago with you ;-)

Tommy and I just got back from a fun weekend in Chicago, where we did a couple of engagement sessions. We always have a blast in the city, and this was no exception! The weather could have been better, but Maro and Andrew were such troopers, even though they were a little soggy by the end of our shoot ;-) Hopefully a rainy engagement session means sun for your wedding day!!
how gorgeous are these two?

a quick (and wet!) stop in front of the theater....
love this one....
a quick outfit change, and we finished up at the zoo....(isn't it amazing what good lighting can do for a wet and gloomy day?!)
not sure what this structure was all about - but, it made for a cool backdrop!
thanks Maro and Andrew!! looking forward to the wedding in July!

check out this brand-new little cutie! I photographed mom and dad's wedding back in 2009 - so happy for them as they welcome their new arrival!!
Logan wasn't too thrilled at the start of our session....
...but a little soothing from mom and dad goes a long way....
